Lariam adverse effects

I have a new patient coming to see me next week suffering from adverse

effects of taking Lariam as antimalarial prophylactic 6 years ago. I

have no details as yet but apparently he was in bed for about 3 years

with the initial effect. Seems to be a little less serious now but he

is still unable to work.

I know this is very sketchy but if anyone has any experience in

treating the adverse effects of this drug I would be most grateful for

your input.
