Striving after TOTAL STERILITY for eye formulae has always struck me as a

little excessive. After all, the eyes are constantly in contact with

environmental pollution anyway (dust in air, microscopic flakes from own body

debris, even fallout from microscopic mites in eyelashes and eyebrows) - and

inflamed and irritated eyes WILL be rubbed by the patient, even unconsciously

-for example, while asleep.

All of the formulae I use are (herbally) antibiotic, anyway, so sterility can be

provided within the formula. Just apply the eyebath (preferable) or compress.
