Are you sure her flushes are associated with her reproductive system and

not something else (i.e. adrenal or thyroid issues)?

Definately adrenals - i focus all treatment on nervines and adrenals

when flushes are still present more than 4 years after the last period.

Found scullcap and a little hops a nice combo and lavender, nearly

always lavender 10 - 20 mls/week.

Very true Zoe. I find Crataegus excellent for hot flushes. Hops depends on

constitution and Chondrus is great also....especially at the first appointment.

I usually get patients to take it as a food with stewed apple (trad. dish here).

I also find it important to tease out how they view moving into this new period

of life and how did their mothers view their elder years. The biggest shock is

to tell a px that there are the same number of years between 20 - 50 as 50 -80.

The latter period needs the same care and planning as the first 30.
