well a challenge test really isn't the way to go to find out body burden, ANYONE doing a challege test is going to dump metals (as you are giveing a HIGH dose bolus of a chelator) and it also stirs metals up to DO a challenge, and they go where ever with out the follow up, which is why low and slow is the more recommended approach.

if you know you have yeast valtrex is likly to flare yeast which is WHY the antifungal is recommend WITH It, and if you know you HAVE yeast I would treat it before looking at chelating as well and work on boneing up on minerials. fluconizole was one of our favoriate interventions with QUICK results. and really helped to heal the gut with getting it in control. up by you, miller drug has compounded it for us for really cheep, straigh fluconizole powder in a veggie cap. (and they mail it to you for 1 dollar)

for metal testing you really want hairmetals and minerial levels (like through dr's data) and urine porphyrins to see what body burden IS, and what his body is able to out put as well as where minerials are BEFORE chelating. with doing a big challenge test and mercury showing up, you aren't likely to have TO much metals as that is one of the last to show up on testing when dumping metals. so I wouldn't panick to much, for AL, you can get rid of that naturally with mag and malic acid.

hope some of that helps

need help

I need help understanding the sequence of antifungal, antiviral, chelation therapies. We've largely recoverd our son with 4 yrs of work with intensive diet, supplements, Nystatin, Methly B 12, lo dose DMSA, Hbot, cranial sacral, colon cleansing. But we are still having according to labs gut issues and yeast. My DAN reccomends Fluconzale and also Valtrex. I don't want to do both at the same time. But I'm open to insights. She also wants to wait to do IV chelation to work on gut more and feels that antifungal will help this. I'm not sure I agree. We've laid a good foundation and I'm not sure his gut will ever be good with the metal load.HHV-6 is chronic/active, yeasts, and chelation challenge reveal lead, mercury, aluminum more.... Our son functions well, pretend plays, language, seems almost NT, but behind. Not fully recovered, but we are so grateful for where he is. So I guess my fears are that by doing more interventions he could regress. Could we loose all that we've worked for. I'm scared to see that light in his eye disappear and I never want his language to stop as it did at 18 months. I'm really traumatized and having a hard time right now with wondering if I should proceed further. However I am not comfortable leaving metals and this chronic viral issue. I'm fearful and unsure of sequence. I wonder if there is a back side to valtrex. Could we further weaken immune system. I appreciate any insights.

See my post to Mark as I explain why antivirals cause yeast there. Cheryl~Check out my blog:  http://www.gryffins-tail.blogspot.com/ I didn't post enough about metals, we've done porphrins, have been lo dose oral chelating, checking hair, urine, stool.    Mercury didn't show up on chelation challenge.   Lead did.    Doctor's Data hair/minerals before yes.    My main question is that I'm fearful of doing Valtrex because I wonder if there is a back side.   Can this further harm his immune system?   Are kids regressing after using Valtrex?  I'm considering doing naturals first and have started OLE.  I have more clarity from your post about Valtrex kicking up yeast and having antifungal on board.   However my next question is WHY does Valtrex affect yeast?   I also understand your sequence of treatment ideas, thank you.I'm thankful for your time and experiences shared.   well a challenge test really isn't the way to go to find out  body   burden, ANYONE doing a challege test is going to dump metals (as  you   are giveing a HIGH dose bolus of a chelator)  and it also stirs  metals up to DO a challenge, and they go where ever with out the  follow up, which is why low and slow is the more recommended  approach. if you know you have yeast valtrex is likly to flare yeast which  is   WHY the antifungal is recommend WITH It, and if you know you  HAVE   yeast I would treat it before looking at chelating as well and  work   on boneing up on minerials.  fluconizole was one of our  favoriate   interventions with QUICK results.  and really helped to heal the  gut   with getting it in control.  up by you, miller drug has  compounded   it for us for really cheep, straigh fluconizole powder in a  veggie   cap.
