hello Haskel

I don't know what Joe does, but if I make tinctures with

infusions/decoctions then I first make the infusion /decoction, allow it to

cool, discard those herbs and use the liquid to dilute the alcohol with

which I will make my tincture, using the remaining herb. So it's really a

double maceration. Makes lovely tinctures

I frequently do this for root tinctures Haskel. Echinacea, withania etc.

Especially if they have a water soluble constituent. I never asked Joe whether

that was the method he used but presumed so.
