Guest guest
I'm well enough after 8 rounds with Taxotere (last Tx 20/04/04). As you know, I've lost one testicle to a tumour and it looks like I'll be losing the other. Not much chance of me following Sammy's regimen after that. I've started Atrasentan for want of anything better to do. Taxotere reduced my tumours astoundingly well (strangely except for the one on my testicle) and my PSA from around 300 to 81. Now that Taxotere is FDA approved and proven in the TAX 327 trials we need to have it as an option in the UK for PCa as well as BCa. We miss you over this side of the hill, , but appreciate the great work you're doing with this group. The talk last Saturday was by Brown, Consultant Uro at Stepping Hill, Stockport. He explained his pilot study using High Intensity Focused Ultrasound. Very tasty and optimistic and again we owe much there to our Chinese friends. But for me optimism is somewhat dented when in excess of 75% of men in the UK present with Advanced disease. Best wishes Lancaster I > > A note to Lancaster and PSA North members, hope you are well, > sorry I > didn't get to Manchester yesterday we are busy getting the house back > together after major upheaval! > > > > > >
Guest guest
, This is what Dr Howenstine has to say about MGN 3. Have you heard of cesium chloride? Regards <<My enthusiasm for MGN 3 has dwindled a little as it seems that it may often require removal of bulk of cancer tissue to work effectively i.e.surgery. It is quite expensive. I am very excited about cesium chloride in liquid form which appears to be safer than capsules. This has cured at least one person with prostate cancer. Look up cesium and cancer on the internet for more information. Dr. Howenstine>> Taxotere 3 weekly 75mg per m2 with dexamethasone and prednisolone only. I took some MGN3 as a booster. It was hard to say if it, (MGN3), was effective. Strange you never mentioned the Rugby in the note to your NZ friend! Lancaster
Guest guest
Glad to hear from you again. Taxotere seems to have knocked the tumour for 4 if not 6. (You can tell the cricket has been on today - Sorry Louisa it was a close thing at the end 56 runs wanted and 4 wickets left if Giles or Thorpe had gone the New Zealanders would have been in the ascension!) Did you have Taxotere neat or with other drugs? -----Original Message-----From: Lancaster Sent: 13 June 2004 19:35To: ProstateCancerSupport Subject: Re: We are growing in numberI'm well enough after 8 rounds with Taxotere (last Tx 20/04/04). Guest guest
Thanks Perhaps we ought to forget about the football (soccer) too. I must admit that I hadn't seen the rugby, but did remember seeing that the Antipodes won the Rugby games! Best wishes -----Original Message-----From: Lancaster Sent: 13 June 2004 23:11To: ProstateCancerSupport Subject: Re: We are growing in numberTaxotere 3 weekly 75mg per m2 with dexamethasone and prednisolone only.
