That's a good suggestion, Bill. I hope it never is needed. <g> But it's good to remember. Thank you. :o)

More questions... hand control?

Okay... stuff comes to mind and most of the time I forget it before I get here, and just end up surfing. lol Hope no one minds my splitting them up as they come.

More and more I find typos a problem. My hands are not working together, one is not getting the letters out fast enough. My right works faster than my left. I have Carpal Tunnel problems in the left. They've been pretty intense. Now there's something else going on as well, maybe (??). I've chalked it up to long time passing and too much compression as well as muscle atrophy. As I'm looking more intently at MS, I'm wondering if this might go over that line? Nerves, muscles, all that.

CHALLIS -- WHEN YOU GET THE DRAGON NATURALY SPEAKING DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED IT TAKES TIME. YOU HAVE TO GET USED TO THE PROGRAM QUIRKS AND IT HAS TO LEARN YOUR VOICE AND SPEAKING HABITS. MY MAIN PROBLEM WITH IT WAS THAT I SPEAK TOO SOFTLY AND IF I TURN IT UP IT PICKS UP THE NOISE FROM ALL OVER THE HOUSE. I DID BENIFIT BECAUSE I DID LEARN TO SPEAK IN A FIRMER VOICE BUT NOW SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT I AM MAD. LOL JUST CANT WIN.

I remember Joe (my FIL) saying I typed fast. I laughed... I may type fast, but I spend a lot more time fixing what I've typed. <g> I'm always reminded of the monkeys typing a sentence. lol Eventually a sentence comes out.

Well, I think I'm kind of encouraged to know the MS pain in your hand isn't so bad as the CTS pain. (lol) Except for the pain I've felt in my elbow and up, I'm pretty sure most of what I feel that I attribute to my CTS really is CTS. I've really been thinking a lot about it since reading this though.

My fingers don't keep up with my mind usually. It's funny that when I'm talking the words I'm thinking of won't come out of my mouth but when I'm typing the words are there and just flow through to my fingers.

Typos???? The words may flow through to my fingers but that doesn't mean my fingers type them correctly. Letters with be transposed a lot. Very aggravating!

The numbness I feel with MS does not feel like the numbness I had with Carpal Tunnel. And the pain I have in my wrists, hands and fingers with MS does not feel like Carpal Tunnel. The carpal tunnel pain is much worse. There are some main differences for me. With MS I have funny twitches and "catches" in my fingers. At least I guess that's MS. I have a burning feeling in spots on my hands sometimes. Sometimes my hands don't want to work right. It's like my hands get "stupid" and just won't do what they are supposed to do.

I do have nerve damage in my hands from waiting so many years to have the surgery for carpal tunnel. But this is different. But I'm at a loss to explain it...
