Guest guest
Hi , You did fine. I am 61 diagnosed in 1984 and have done well with ms. I use a lot of vitamin and mineral supplements but no drugs. I wrote www.copingandprevailing.com If you cannot afford it send me your mailing address and I will send it to you. I did start taking "LDN" last July with some very favorable results so far. Go to www.lowdosenaltrexone.org to learn about it. Your sense of humor is intact and that is really important. Guest guest
Welcome . I'm Margot. I live in Minnesota with my husband, 4 kids, golden retriever and parakeet. I haven't been officially diagnosed yet. Everything else, lymes, lupus etc, has been ruled out. There were no lesions on the brain or c-spine. We are going on the assumption of MS. My Dh has central sleep apnea. His sleep was very unrestful. He takes a small does of clonazepam at night. That has been a godsend! It isn't as potent as diazapam. That is nasty stuff! DH took that after his brain surgery. WOAH! Welcome. Margot
Guest guest
Hello Lori, Welcome to the group. Thanks for sharing that information about the B 12 deficiency. I'd never heard of the symptoms matching some associated with MS, so I'm glad you mentioned it. And I'm happy the injections are helping with the fatigue. I feel it's important that you have all the testing done that you possibly can, to try to determine for certain if you have MS or some other neurological problem. Since you don't have medical insurance, are there any resources available to help with such in your country? Take care! Rita introduction Hello all. First, I want to say I have not been diagnosed with MS. It is a possibility and at this point I don't know how long it will take to prove or disprove the diagnosis. I hope it is ok that I am here in the meanwhile because I would like to learn more in case that is the road I am heading down. As is, I was diagnosed with B 12 Deficiency 6 weeks ago and am getting shots to sort that out. Many of the B 12 symptoms are similar to MS (gait and balance), and it's my understanding that B 12 Deficiency is one of the things that is ruled out before MS is considered. All was well and good until my dr appt yesterday when I discovered a number of the symptoms concerning speech and balance I've been dealing with my dr said are NOT being caused by my B 12 thing. He was upset that I had not said much about these issues before yesterday, but up until then my main problem had been staying awake. Once the shots of B 12 started to kick in and removed some of the fatigue the other problems became more unignorable. My dr gave me a neuro test yesterday and it was all a bit grim. I know I flubbed at least 3 things, like hitting the side instead of the tip of my nose when my eyes were shut, and above my knee with my toes when I was aiming for the knee cap. Some balance things, too, figuring out the word I wanted to use, a little slurring and I'm not sure what else because he didn't say, he just looked grim. He said at the end the things I'm having trouble with aren't B 12 problems and the B 12 will help with the fatigue but he is concerned about the rest of it and wanted to know when this started. That was the other problem, I had no idea because I have been so tired and out of it for the last 9 months, but that was thought to be a result of the B 12 deficiency. I also have a long history of fluid in my ears (lifelong swimmer) so I have always assumed anything balance related was caused by that. It's only now that it has gotten so bad that I can't blow it off and the B 12 isn't taking care of it. I don't have medical and I don't care to visit drs. We're going to see how I progress over the next month and then take it from there. My other background information is that I am 33 and have 2 boys, aged 4 and 8, and I live in Ireland. As far as I know I have no family history of any of this.

Guest guest
Welcome to the group, Kim! It's very nice to meet you! I'm , from New Jersey....I've been married for almost 6 years and have a 6 year old son, , and a year and a half year old son, Evan. Introduction Hi everyone, I've been a member of this group for alittle over a week now so I thought it was time to introduce myself. What is your name? Kim How old are you? 37 Where are you from? Originally from Flint, MI, currently live in Cleveland, OH Tell us a bit about your family (spouse, kids, pets, etc.) I've been married for 5years and have a 2 1/2 y.o. son How long have you been doing Tae-Bo? I started Tae-Bo 5 years ago to try to lose weight before my wedding, I didn't even stick with it for 2 weeks. I committed myself to getting healthy and staying with an exercise program in aug. 2002. I started with Sansone tapes and worked my way up to the FIRM tapes which I have done religiously since July of last year. I have had great results with the firm but wanted to add some diversity to my workouts so I looked at my tape collection and decided to try Tae-Bo again. What a difference, I can actually make it through a whole tape now, I couldn't do that before. I really enjoy them and have added them regularly to my video rotation. This morning I did the Firm Fat Blaster and added 8 min tae bo at the end. What tapes do you have? I have a set of the first tae-bo's that came out. I have 2 advance live tapes, 1 basic live, and tae-bo cardio What are your fitness/weightloss goals? When I started in Aug. 2002 I was 220, size 18. I am currently 186 and between a 14-16. I would like to get to a size 8, don't care as much about what weight that will be. I currently work out 5-6 days a week for about an hour, I think that is about my maximum. What results have you had so far (both physical and metal)? See above for physical, mentally I can't describe it, I've always been a happy person even when heavy but now I think I also have a can-do attitude about everything. My energy level is usually through the roof. What do you like most about Tae-Bo? I think I like the fact that all sorts of people and body shapes are included on the tapes, which helps me to feel like I can do it too. What do you like least about Tae-Bo? Don't think I've done enough at this point to say. What other exercises/activities do you do? I use FIRM tapes, I recently ordered Slim in 6. What are your hobbies/interests? I like to read, spend time with my family, I like to sell items on ebay. What would you like people to know about you? Wow, I feel like I have covered everything. I look forward to chatting with everyone and sharing motivation. As Deb has said: " Fitness is a journey and it begins with the first step.
