Guest guest
sissy, i know exactly how you feel, i was in the same boat with my dad, there were times i would pray for his health and then there were just as many times that i would pray for his peace. unfortunately iwht lbd, there are NO rules, NO set stages. our poor lo's can progress, regress, plateau many times, back adn forth, it is so depressing, there can evven be changes with in hte same day. as hard as it is on us, it has to be harder for them, to one time know how to use your fork, and then the next meal not beable to. i used to see the frustration in my dads face when he tried to do simple tasks that he knew he should be able to do but couldnt, , this is really difficult disease, as there are no rules, so just try to swing with it, laugh at the funny times, cry with us in the difficutl times and do the best thatyou can. hugs, sharon m -- Daugher of Leonard, diag May 2004, had lbd since 1993, had hip surgery from fall 7/05, aspiration pneumonia 7/05 with pulmonary embolyis, had aspiration pneumonia and uti 8/05, died of blood pressure drop on 9/25/05, may he rest in peace with his mom and dad, a smile a day keeps the meanies away ---- sissyp1102 wrote: dear group as i have written before my beloved husband has taken a turn for the worse, the Dr. think now he may have shingles seems like something new every week, we have been fighting a pressure sore on his heel since October 2005 he is not a diabetic but just wont get well. This may seem cruel to some of you but i used to pray and have prayer chains for him to get well, but i know now that is not going to happen, i now pray that if God is not going to give him back to me to have mercy and take him home to live with our Lord , my husband would not want to live like this (if you call this living). my husband was doing pretty good until April then it seems like overnight he started going down fast my question is does this come and go in stages or once they start declining do they keep getting worse. sissy
