Guest guest
Hi Beth- Welcome to the group. I would also suggest some type of shake/smoothie for your mom. You can make them in a blender and add all sorts of high protein/high calorie goodies to them. They can be made with ice cream, frozen yogurt, fruits, malt flavoring...lots of stuff. How long has your mom been diagnosed with LBD? I see you wrote you have been here before. I wonder if we have corresponded before. I initially joined the group in January 2002. I kept the theory with my dad that " as long as their is life, there is hope. Then tonight she did eat almost a whole milkshake, and half a bowl of popcorn as a snack...with her pepsi...I wish she would say she is hungry, and would get her appetite back....once before she lost a lot of weight and then she gained some of it back. I can't remember what changed her appetite back if it was medication or what. I'm praying that she will again gain weight! I never give up hope for a miracle! Hope is all we have to hold on to! Thanks for your help. Oh btw, I have been on here before, and everyone is great....I get really depressed, if I come back all the time, I guess I try to fool myself that she will never leave me, and I don't want to read about all the things to come near the end.... I guess it's my way to deal, and cope. > Beth - welcome to the board. I'm glad you found us.
