The four UK health departments have agreed that the Health Professions Council (HPC) should hold a statutory register of practitioners who supply unlicensed herbal medicines to people to enable the supply of herbal medicines to continue after 30 April 2011. Guest guest
And, ps, you aren't going to be legal - you are going to be regulated. You are already legal. Jean Sent from my iPad > Cant say I'm thrilled. Having worked in the chiropractic profession for twenty years and watched the slow destruction of that profession through regulation I feel very depressed about this outcome. The chiropractic profession have just had to formally unite recently to attempt to salvage what is left of the profession through a vote of no confidence in their regulatory body. Doesn't bode well for us in the future. Look at osteopaths too. These professions are so restricted in everything they can say and do now because of regulation. Their practise is being slowly stripped away. And if you think this is suddenly going to have you receiving gp referrals and gaining status, think again. That is what was promised the other two professions and it hasn't happened. Sad day indeed. > > Sent from my iPad > > On 16 Feb 2011, at 14:32, Herbs and Helpers wrote: > > > Wonderful news we are to be legal at last! Guest guest
I also work with 2 chiropractors and agree the GCC is beyond poor. One of the chiros has chosen to deregister and practises as an osteomyologist instead......6 yrs of study and can't use the title he gained. Fingers crossed our regulation will be more successful!
