We haven't heard from any of our LBDers lately that I know of. Does anyone keep in contact personally with them? Helen Medsger, from this group, let me borrow her book; " Life in the Balance " By: Graboys, M.D. It's so interesting to read about his awareness of the disease in the beginning. My husband could have written this book, it all sounds so familiar and how when I look back on the beginning how Jim tried to hide it all from me and all the tell tale signs I can recall now, but didn't see then or understand that he was hiding these things from me, he had other excuses why things were happening and probably in denial himself as Dr. Grayboys points out about himself. What a frightful disease. I am identifying completely with this book, not only in the process of the disease, but in our relationship. It's uncanny how much this resembles our life.
