I think it's often better, because you can hold poses longer and if you need to stretch a certain area more, you can. Or if you want to stretch other areas, you can. Many folks stretch on their own when doing the older Tae Bo workouts, because most of them don't have much of a warm up or cool down. -- Weights I did my own stretching though because I'm not that fond of all that they do.
