Guest guest
pjb I can see the sense in much of this but I can't easily see why we should not eat raw apples. I think freezing is definitely second best but is it not better than processing food and storing in tins? We now steam vegetables in preference to pressure cooking. Perhaps you can let us have more background to these statements Best wishes
Guest guest
-- I find it interesting that the cleanse involves three days of eating apples. The unidentified substance in almonds is undoubtedly boron, which has very important health benefits. See Dr. Strum's article in Life Extension Magazine regarding Boron at http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag2003/nov2003_report_boron_01.htm <http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag2003/nov2003_report_boron_01.htm> . Guest guest
Edgar Cayce was an interesting person. If I remember correctly he did not have a formal education but was able to "read" a book by putting it under his pillow. He lived in the US south and was seen as a healer. He got his insight in his dreams and there are books that are transcripts of his dreams. There is an institute in Virginia Beach, Va that houses his writings and studies paranormal phenomenon. He believed in Atlantis. He believed it was near Bermuda and was powered by a large crystal. When the crystal exploded and Atlantis sank into the ocean we lost much that had already been known. He also predicted things that were to happen in the future. I remember that he has predicted earthquakes on the east coast and I sometimes think about them now. I almost forgot he was also a believer in reincarnation. I wrote a paper about him in high school and I found him interesting because while so much of about him is unbelievable but some of what he said made perfect sense. His diet is interesting. Reading what I read in this post, I could not help but think about how some of what he said is now the way things are going diet wise. Here is a biography from his institute's website: http://www.edgarcayce.org/edgar-cayce1.html A more skeptical look at the man http://skepdic.com/cayce.html All that said, I am not sure why the earlier post was sent to this list. I think it was some sort of spam. While it is all fascinating it is not proven scientific fact. He is fun to study but ...... Guest guest
I love biodynamicly grown raw apples. I just rinse 'em off and go for a walk around the block enjoying a really nice treat.
