Guest guest
hi lisa! for the longest time ive been having the same problem around 3 or 4 pm. i get the munchies!! this is when i want to eat junk food -- cookies, crackers, chips, sweets. lately ive decided that it is ok for me to eat at that time, but that i must eat different food so before i make my lunch, i make my afternoon snack and put it in the fridge for later. pm snack is either a vegetable salad or a fruit salad. i love both but when i want to eat in the afternoon i do not want to be chopping things... takes too long! now that i have it all ready, i just grab it and eat and it is working out great! if i still find myself thinking that i want to have junk instead, i tell myself that i can eat some of those crackers or whatever after i eat my salad. after i eat the healthy food, im full, and i dont want the junk. it is becoming more and more apparent to me that one of the keys to eating right is to plan out all of your meals and snacks ahead of time. *~*~*~*~* Carolyn RE: I've been trying to fill up on lean protein and vegetables, but every day around 3:30 I have the uncontrollable starch/sweets thing, and I still give in more often than not. Guest guest
you can do it lisa!! have all of your healthy food as readily available to grab and eat as the junk food is. then pick the healthy food FIRST, junk food later. the rule around here is that you must eat a healthy food before you can eat a less-healthy or junky one. *~*~*~*~* Carolyn RE: That sounds like a great idea, Carolyn.
