OT--the end of my world as I know it

The other day at the doctors, I heard two little words that I knew

were coming, but still hit me like a tone of bricks---NO COFFEE!!!

I have to give up caffeine--I have what is commonly known as

Irritable Bowel Syndrome, or, as I call it, a major pain in the a$$.

I've been ignoring it for years, but I can't anymore, it's gotten to

the point where it interferes with daily life, so that's it.

Doctor says the 3 main culprits are caffeine, alcohol, and aspirin.

2 out of 3 I don't use (alcohol and aspirin, I may have an occasional

beer on my vacation, but that's it), the caffeine is the hardest for

me, but the " end result " is no longer worth it.

I know this isn't Tae Bo related, but I needed to vent, thanks for

listening, and any suggestions to replace coffee are certainly

welcome.

hi jerry! hey, ive given up caffiene (i used to be a coca-cola addict for

many years).

and it wasnt that bad really! i felt weird at first, for a while, but if

you drink a ton of water then that will help you along.

and also get lots of sleep. you can do it!! hey, you do taebo! you can do

anything!

I have been trying to quit coffee for YEARS!! I'll quit with you if you would

like some support. I have IBS too, so I know your pain!

You've got yourself a deal, no cheating, though, I had to remove any and all

remnants in my house--coffeemaker had to go.

It just got to the point where it's no longer worth the aggravation.
