But that aside, surely you do not advocate saying exactly what you think or feel all the time? I sometimes say, " How do you do? " when I couldn't care less how he does - don't you? These polite fictions are among the things that keep the blood from flowing through the streets. If people no longer understand that, that only further reinforces, for me, the views that I expressed in my post to Greg.
