Temporarily Absent sort've :-(

Hi Everyone,

Well, my Linux e-mail server and internal file server crashed. Haven't had

the heart to open up the box and see if any of the drives are salvageable

:-( I may have lost over 100 gigs of documents, pictures, music, videos,

etc. is on his way home with a couple of new hard drives and a Raid

controller. If we ever get this thing back up and running, at least we'll

be better protected. I know, I'm babbled computer jargon, but I'm sure some

of you may know what I'm feeling right about now. HEARTBROKEN :-( Our last

backup was about 3 weeks ago so we'll be able to recover most thing... but

our latest vacation pictures, e-mail and documents may be toast. We're

gonna take apart a couple of pc's and see what we can recover off the

drives.

I hope everyone is well. I've managed to spend the afternoon setting up a

makeshift e-mail collection for now. As we're heading down to western NY on

Thursday for our annual Dakota BBQ and off road trail ride, I won't be here

to work on the computers. I am taking the laptop down and I'll check in

every once in awhile. If anyone is interested in seeing what's mayhem

and I will be up to... there'll be a live webcam covering the BBQ and truck

repairs portion... hehehehe. The site will also show some of our previous
