Guest guest
Hi Marilyn, Are you picking up at all..? Pretty awful feeling so ragged when it just on and on... Re your Q O2 levels (or ‘sats’ = blood O2 saturation) in Oz are only usually taken if admitting to hospital, not as a matter of course – can be pretty variable. If you’re 94 or below then that’s considered serious enough to monitor or give O2. My sats are (annoyingly, but thankfully good even when I’ve felt like I ‘can’t get enough air’). The cough is caused by a ‘bronchospasm’ which I gather is part of bronc, maybe worth looking it up on internet, see what comes up. If you’ve been coughing like this for 30 yrs your pulm needs a good swift kick up u-know-where. I’ve probably asked already, about having sputum tested for which pathogens are causing infx, and whether or not they’re resistant to the abx prescribed. If they are, then your bronc will worsen and so will immune system too. Yes, I have had similar problems. I had ten years of this kind of thing, and sometimes find it hard not to feel angry at the patronising, lazy, uncaring brats who call themselves doctors... It’s such a high price WE pay (and not just $$) for their laziness. So many problems I now have I truly feel could have been at least delayed for some years, instead of being on 56 w energy levels of someone 70-80 yrs old. I can truly empathise, but I am still able to do many things if I’m not unwell, so that I have at least. Wishing you the best well-being soon, Joy " Sentient beings, all our very own mothers, are as limitless as space”
