New Member-Question about labs and treatment

Hi,

I'm new to the group-Jeri, 52, live in Texas.

I was recently tested for thyroid antibodies for the first time and the

Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies were high, they were 54 and the reference range

is <35.

The doctor told me I have thyroiditis but was waiting for some other labs to

come back before changing anything. I was pretty excited to actually have the

labs discover something after always being told my labs were fine in the past.

So the nurse finally calls me and because everything else is within range, the

doctor said to keep on the same medication (armour 60mg). I'm so upset about

that, I'm having all sorts of symptoms, fatigue, memory and concentration

problems that are starting to interfere at work, depression, no motivation to do

anything after I come home from work.

Is this normally how it's treated? If everything else is ok on labs, do

nothing?
