-- Re: / Dad

, thanks for your kind words. Shortly after I sent the email

this am, I got a call from my dad's private duty caregiver at the

NH. She knew his time was near. My husband & I were fortunate to

get there and were able to spend a little time with him before he

died.

Overall, the last three days were pretty peaceful and he appeared

comfortable. I'm sure it took everything we've been through for the

past few years to get us to that place.

I'm grateful for all the time I had with him and with the

understanding I developed going through the journey with him.

Some times were trying(!!!!), but I was so grateful to have found the

common ground with everyone on this list. Whether you write in the

list often or seldom or if you just read, there is a connection and

it does help to know there is someone else going through the same

things.

A thank you to everyone who shares their stories and does what they

can to help their loved one. Things don't always turn out the way we

might want, but in the end, if the love shines through, we survive

the Lewy ride. Have faith in yourself and always have hope.

Take care,

You have my condolences. I am glad your Dad had a peaceful ending. And I am

glad you got an opportunity to say good-bye.

You will be in my thoughts during the next week which you celebrate his life.

My condolences on the passing of your dad. I'm sorry I didn't pay closer

attention to your posts - I understood that your dad had stopped swallowing but

I was so surprised to learn that he has passed. Sending you and yours much

Dear -

Please accept my sympathy on the passing of your dad. As another " daughter of

Bill " I felt a common bond with you when I joined this forum. I pray that you

will know that you have been a good daughter and have done all you could to ease

him through his experience with Lewy. Thank you for sharing your story with us.
