Once you have it, you have it for the duration, and you will never be able to get a " non-diabetic " life insurance policy. You may get your BG under control, and may even have perfectly normal HbA1cs in the future, but guess what? Go off the wagon and you're right back in the club as if you never left, which you didn't.
