AmyBeth,

My sibblings are my father, mother (she's also sick) and brother and my

children....as for my cravings well I cannot help it, I'm eating everything

that comes in contact with me....also, I just finished reading your success

about passing your training, that is wonderful...How did you get your arms

so cut? I have done weight training and cardio for many years and was never

able to get them so cut, oh well it doesn't matter flabby or not that is how

I look...again sorry that this post got a bit too long...

Re: OT/ if you feel that this post should be

removed please do it now...

> my food cravings are going

> haywire.

Man Montserrat ;(

How awful to be going through this with your Dad....do you have

siblings ?? Try to talk about it -- to whoever -- couldn't even

imagine ;(

Peace

AmyBeth-who reminds you that your food cravings are stress

related and if you don't want to continue the Challenge......that is

wise.....to know that....do what you CAN do :) and revel in that ;)

AmyBeth is soo blushing ;)

I dunno what success you read ;) I don't know what picture you

saw -- I just know I have always focused on my upperbody....it is

the whole reason I got into exercise in the first place.....eight

years ago I couldn't lift a pencil to write my name much less lift a

weight.....I have never seen myself as having a great upper body

;) I still see the 220lb gal I used to be....thanks for the wonderful

compliments --

I use free weights and I focus right on the muslce I am working

cuz my wrists can't do it anyway....it has to be say lifted by the

bicep or the tricpep no cheating hah.....

I highly recommend Master Blaster by Crunch -- it is very old look

on Ebay for it -- we can still get it at Best Buy and such here in

the US.....it is in the old days before TaeBo Videos ;) I love

it -- its a great upper body workout :)

:)

I want you to enjoy your eating and your workouts for now on

and focus on your health and mental well being ;) that is my wish

for you --you have so much on your shoulders right now ....so

many depending on you to get through this horrible time with

both your parents :P

you are a great motivator here at this List....some will be lost

without you -- keep on pushing play and just motivate as you can

-- don't challenge your body right now -- challenge your will :)

peace

AmyBeth-who knows you have the Spirit :) and knows you know

the Way ;)

AmyBeth:

I hope I'm not being forward or asking too much, but:

Do you mind telling us your story? Seeing your picture is SO

inspiring, but I don't know your history... I think that other people

would be inspired as well.

If you don't, I understand, but trust me, it's for purely selfish

reasons that I want to know.... I love hearing stories of

inspiration, and it's obvious that you're passionate about Tae-Bo. I

would like to have some of that passion as well.

If you wish to share, thank you, but if you don't, thank you anyway..

you DO inspire me... Janet

What a sweety you are ;)

The mouth of the south is always willing to share ;)

I will try to make it short.....its a long journey -- but I wouldn't

trade

it for the World.

I will try to make it short and sweet :)

I was 7 months preg. with my first child. I worked for a law firm in

WDC. I worked 12 -16 hour days, I was 23 years old. When I

developed bilateral Carpal tunnel. They sent me home in splints

on both writs and told to wait until the baby was born. This gave

me all kinds of time to eat. I ate to pass time, I ate to feel

better, I

ate to block out the pain. After delivery of my bouncing baby boy

they determined I needed surgery. During the first surgery the

Dr. cut the median nerve that operates the thumb. This left the

thumb motionless and in excruciating pain. After 7 more

surgeries to try and FIX that the decided they couldn't......they

then

operated on the rigth hand. It had suffered nerve damage as

well. By this time I was 220 and 27 years old. I couldn't use my

left hand at all and my right hand was in pain although it worked.

At some point a Dr. suggested exercise to help manage the

pain. I was insulted...I can't even write my own name and he

wants me to lift weights......My hubby got me a tape and hooked

up an old computer screen in or basement. the rest is History,

at some point DH got me the Original Tapes....and that my friend

was the beginning of the best journey I have travelled. Mr.

Blanks' taught me from the start to take the Can't out of my

vocabulary (I was teh Queen of can't) and start Doing!!!!! In six

months I was shopping for a size six pants. I have been a

TaeBot every since. gave me so much ...more then a great

body....he gave me the confidence to Believe in myself.

He didn't solve my problems -- I still have to fight insecurities,

and I still fight pain....but the knowledge he gave me is what gets

me through........Mr. Blanks' story also reminds me not to get

discouraged. He went through a lot to get where he is as

well....and I being in awe of that power of his helps me with

getting my Power.

I hope I didn't try to shorten it too much. There are many great

TaeBo stories of success on TaeBofans.com, if you need some

great stories check it out.....Before/After

I appreciate your compliments....you have no idea the confidence

booster you are yourself ;) I am very passionate about TaeBo, I

credit it and Mr. Blanks' with saving me -- truly......with all the

things facing me 7 years ago and the zero self esteem I cringe at

the thought of what my life would be like right now , if it weren't

for

TaeBo......

Again thanks for the compliments and I hope I didn't gabb too

much ;)

peace

AmyBeth-who knows Janet will get hers too :)

You know what, AmyBeth? Thank you for sharing your story.

I can see why you are passionate about Tae-Bo... I really can.

I don't know what I would have done if I had to go through what you

went through. I probably would have crumbled into a ball and waited

to die!

My theory about you is, the strength definitely came from you and

your own inner reserves. It takes great inner strength and

perserverence (sp?) to drop your weight and build up such strength in

6 months. So I think that YOU are a strong lady!

Why don't you put your personal story on Tae-Bo heroes? Are you on

there? Janet

okay AmyBeth is totally RED Faced now ;) you guys are so sweet

to be so kind -- especially after my rudness last week :(

Anyhow -- Janet you are already learning aren't you -- that is

exactly what Billly says -- its not me its you -- you are the Strong

one ;)

Well it took me longer then six months....its an on going process

I don't won't anyone to think six months......I lost an incredible

amount of weight and got motion in my hands back really quick

but it has taken years to really shape my Mind, Body and Spirit ;)

It took a liffetime to put it on and it felt like a lifetime getting

it off ;)

but it will come -- be strong yourself == know you are a

Conqueror deep down --

peace

AmyBeth-who did want to crawl into a ball and die -- she did

several times -- but she had these darling babies to take care of

thank God.......I still am the queen of feeling sorry for myself -- I

just try not too :) it makes a whole lot of difference.....:() love

you

Janet and am glad to be a part of your Journey ;)
