Guest guest Posted July 8, 2002 Report Share Posted July 8, 2002 I totally agree that sounds like a great idea. I'll join you on the Wed Abs challenge. I've been meaning to throw the Abs & amp; Glutes tape in more often but never do. Maybe with this challenge I can get it into the VCR and press play... Hope everyone had a good weekend. Guest guest Posted July 8, 2002 Report Share Posted July 8, 2002 for those of you who dont have 'abs & glutes' i highly recommend it!! you see, with this humid hot weather and allergies, i am struggling a bit with asthma and have to pause too many times in an advanced tape, so ive gone back to the basics until i can breathe better in september. because 'abs & glutes' is floorwork and therefore low cardio i can do it with no breathing issues and i have finally seen my abs and butt getting better! it is really awesome... i think that most everyone would see results quickly with this tape. now i really want billy to do a 'focus: inner thighs'!! *~*~*~*~* Carolyn in ONT Canada RE: > know when we did this 2 and 1/2 years or so back, > there was some real definition forming. AL7, AL9, AL10, AL12, of course AL5, AL3 has some abdominal work but it doesn't last very long (I think). BL10 has floorwork, not too much but VERY effective... no abs, just glutes. AL7 has the floorwork at the beginning of the workout...some people like that but I just can't handle it... because I can hardly move when it's time for the cardio and I just can't find the strength to go on. That's all I can think of right now. Funny, I just had to remember which tapes I haven't done in a while. Hopefully someone else will help you out with others that have floorwork. Guest guest Posted July 9, 2002 Report Share Posted July 9, 2002 I was doing floorwork a few times a week up until a couple months ago. Now with that little bit of break, it kicks my butt!! I don't even come close to completing all reps in a basic tape. Before, I slowed up, I could whizz right through AL5. Oh well, it will just take some time again. I will also join you guys in the floorwork challenge too. But, I may just add the advanced floorwork (off original advanced tape) after a basic tape weekly instead of doing AL5 or abs/glutes... I want to at least do 30 minutes of cardio and not sure when I will feel up to a full hour of exercise yet Darcy I did the same thing, once the challenge stopped so did I. I should have kept up
with it, I was finally getting to the point where I could do the Abs & amp; glutes
tape without hurting the next day. I'm sure I'm going to pay for not keeping up
with it on Wed. I know that once I start up again I'll be glad I did.

Bev

& gt;
& gt; Sounds like a plan )!!!!! So far it's 5 of us-Bev,
& gt; , Caroline, and Moi )!!!!! Guest guest Posted July 10, 2002 Report Share Posted July 10, 2002 <<<oh! and i have a little brag cant wait until friday my husband has an 19 year old under his employ and yesterday the teenager told me that i am 'pin'. i was, like, 'what the heck is that? is it good or bad?' LOL. he told me that it means 'hot'! ROFLMAO! i am 20 years older than him and cant imagine a teenager thinking that i look hot. i figure he was saying it to compliment my husband but it did raise my ego up a little notch >>> Ahhh, coool. I would have been on top of the world too! Ha! Just a thought on your workouts... maybe you have simply perfected the art of taebo. I remember when I first started I thought it was HARD but then things got easy until I figured out that there is a lot more to it, now that I focus on form and intensity I exhaust myself MUCH sooner than when I was just getting through the tape. I use to allow myself to feel guilty about JUST doing a basic but lately I tell myself that a basic is HARD because I am going to make it hard. I tell ya, I sweat and feel the burn just as much as I do with an advanced. I hope I don't come off as thinking that I know everything about taebo. I certainly have a lot more to learn and I need to work on great form EVERY workout. I am needing to figure out a way to increase my endurance... hopefully someday I will figure that out. Jenni... RE: Re: Body Part Focus i wanted to comment on this because im feeling a tad troubled i havent stopped doing taebo at all, but im finding that i cant do my advanced tapes any more! even some of the basic tapes that i used to breeze through are hard for me now. im not sure why this is but i started having problems after i had been mixing my tapes up for a few months. i was alternating basic and advanced tapes, cycling through about 8-10 tapes. perhaps this is what billy wants to happen when he suggests mixing the tapes up... i dunno... it certainly does make taebo more challenging then doing the same tape for a month or so then moving onto another tape for another month - but it is a bit too challenging!! LOL. i was feeling lousy about my poor performance so i took a step back and went to the live instructional tape. now im concentrating on doing basic workouts only, along with abs & glutes, and will do that for a few months and will eventually work back up to an advanced level again. i feel like im starting all over! im thinking that another factor in this is that i read billys book and i think that now im concentrating more on form and breathing properly and that is making the workouts harder (the way they are supposed to be!). so i am a bit discouraged that i cant make it through 10 mins of an advanced workout without resting but perhaps it is a good thing overall... just a bit hard on my spirit right now. oh! and i have a little brag cant wait until friday my husband has an 19 year old under his employ and yesterday the teenager told me that i am 'pin'. i was, like, 'what the heck is that? is it good or bad?'
