Sorry that you have a reason to search out a place like this, but what a refuge it can be :-) To all the old members... way too much happening to fill you in all everything, but here is a humble effort. Some of the older members might remember me, I was the person with Graves' Disease along with CM1 & SM and Graves' Orbitalpathy. while anticipating to undergo decompression surgery, in November, on my eyes etc... I was the one who kept asking for information about trauma to the head area from this kind of surgery, or complications with the " Chiari/SM " thing. Remember me?? Anyway, I had the first decompression on eyes in November, which set in motion complications ( too lengthy to post here) that put me in the hospital for a second decompression on my eyes, and reconstructive sinus surgery the 2nd of Feb. Oh what fun, but at least now, my vision is back (almost) to normal and I can read for short periods without getting a monster headache and the pain is tolerable while medicated. And I can breathe for real, the first time in my life. ( I have had sinus problems since childhood, but only treated with medications, etc.) Now the real fun part starts. I, being fed up with the medical treatment from November till Feb, began to backtrack my medical records, etc. Only to find out none of my records from my Chiari/SM surgery were in my records file at my Family Doctors office. Wow! Was I suprised... so I sent for them, and every other surgery, procedure, etc. that had been done to me over the last.... hhhhmm 10 years?? or so... Needless to say, I was shocked to find out what I did. Interesting what was not told to me by the very doctors treating me. I have heard individuals mention this happening to them, but never had experienced it personally, till now... Can anyone give me any iformation concerning theses procedures, I am looking on my own, but could use a little help or info...
