Did you all know about the " Minnesota Pulmonary Fibrosis and

Interstitial Lung Disease Education Day. " on June 3rd in

Minneapolis? My husband and son and I are planning to attend.

Sounds like a great program. Here's a little info on it and you can

get more at www.med.umn.edu/cald/events.html

On Saturday, June 3rd, 2006 the University of Minnesota will hold

its second annual " Minnesota Pulmonary Fibrosis and Interstitial Lung

Disease Education Day. " This seminar for patients, families, and

healthcare professionals will be held at the McNamara Alumni Center

in Minneapolis, MN. The University of Minnesota's Center for Advanced

Lung Disease will offer this education day to patients and their

families free of charge, with the help of several generous sponsors.

The Minnesota Pulmonary Fibrosis and Interstitial Lung

Disease Education Day will feature faculty from the University of

Minnesota's Interstitial Lung Disease Clinic, led by

Tim Whelan, MD, Assistant Professor and Director of the University's

Interstitial Lung Disease Program. Dr. Whelan will serve as host and

emcee for the event, as well as give a presentation entitled " Current

Research and Clinical Trials for Pulmonary Fibrosis & Interstitial

Lung Disease. " Guest speaker Brown, MD, Acting head of the

pulmonary Division at the National Jewish Medical and Research Center

will give a presentation entitled " Overview of Pulmonary Fibrosis &

Interstitial Lung Disease. " Also speaking will be: Margret

Schmidke, LSW on " Caregivers Need Support Too; " Ed Corazalla, MS,

Hope to meet some of you there.
