Guest guest
Morning , We've been getting our OTC thyroid thru Nutri-Meds www.nutri-meds.com You don't need to see a doc or get a prescription... It's an alternative for those of us on limited funds or no insurance.... There are other online sources for Armour, we have those listed in the links section off the group home page. So we do have choices now... Topper ()http://toppertwo.tripod.com On Fri, 23 May 2003 08:19:08 -0400 " " writes: In a recent post, OTC natural porcine was mentioned. Could you tell me more about it. Is it something I could try until I find a dr I can convince I have a problem? Do I need to go to a health food store to get it? Guest guest
Thanks, do you know if health food stores carry it? I would love to start it as soon as I could to see if it works for me. Guest guest
, I honestly don't know what they are carrying in the health food stores.. years ago when I was looking into OTC thyroid all the labels were reading that they stimulated thyroid .. Since my thyroid doesn't work they wouldn't do me any good... If you order from Nutri-Meds you should have your stuff inside of two weeks... I was seeing improvement pretty quickly... but then I went from no thyroid function and pretty much no meds.. If you are going to the stores to look.. I would suggest reading labels.. you're looking for Whole Desiccated Glandular Porcine thyroid.... Guest guest
Can I ask, while we're all still on the subject, where on the HealthCheck site are their prices posted? I'm shopping for the right on-line lab, so when I was on their site, I looked everywhere for prices. According to them, you have to register into their site first, order tests, and THEN I would suppose we'd know the prices. I really liked the DirectLabs site because they posted prices on everything. On the other hand, HealthCheck has a partner service, where you can pay the $30 to get a licensed physician to recommend, based on the test results. Tit for tat. Guest guest
Hi Topper, Do you like whipped cream on your brownies, or do you prefer them plain?? This Healthcheck site is AWESOME !! Could not locate CALIF. on their list though. but will call 800#. Maybe Ca docs and pharm people are paying big bucks to keep Ca. out?? Yesterday at dr. appt. I mentioned that I take garlic tincture every day.....she tried to tell me there is no proof that garlic is of any benefit....I mentioned echinacea another time to her and she poo pooed that too!! Definately need another kind of doc!! Thanks again, Lyn Re: OTC Lyn, Remember, you can now order your own labs done too... www.healthcheckusa.com check to see if they have a clinic in your area. Guest guest
I'll take a good brownie just about any way! heheheheh one of my favorites is to make a peanut butter butter creme frosting and put a layer of that on top of the brownies and then a lay of chocolate butter creme frosting... hmmmmmm now I'm hungry! hehehehe Now.. if you're offering to send brownies.. I even accept them plain! *giggles* It's worth checking in to.. if you can't afford the doc.. to at least get the labs.. there are plenty of folks here in the groups that can help you determine what the results are saying.... The labs that all the clinics send the blood samples to are in California.. odd that you can't find a participating clinic there..... ???? Garlic.. Works. PERIOD... my parents both took it and were able, with docs okay, to stop taking blood pressure meds.. I take it when I get a touch of frost bite.. increases healing, and blood circulation, immensely.... and that's just taking the cheap caps from the dollar stores.. so I'm gonna say you do need a better doc... Guest guest
I think my brownies are pretty healthy.. I've been adding extra milk power to increase the protein in them... hehehhhehehehehe Topper ()http://toppertwo.tripod.com On Sat, 24 May 2003 12:32:41 -0700 SD writes: Are brownies good for you? Guest guest
Sue, I don't even remember.. but they'd been taking them for years just to keep their blood pressure from going too high.... then dad read about garlic as a therapy.. and asked his doc about it.. doc wasn't too impressed but dad decided to try it anyway.. next time he went in for his check up his blood pressure was WAY down... he and the doc talked about it and the doc said to drop the meds for a while and start monitoring his blood pressure daily.. dad went and picked up a cuff thingy that day... With that bit of news mom started taking garlic and started monitoring her blood pressure daily.. as the BP dropped she dropped them meds.. at her next check up the she and the doc talked about it and he said okay.. and said no more meds... We're 20 years later now.. pop is still not needing BP pills.... mom passed away 11 years ago from a heart attack and complications from brain surgery following a leaky aneurysm.
