Fourth day straight now of heat advisories for heat indexes between 105 to 115. I went to work Sunday and the hoods over the broiler are still not working right, so when we cook the place gets real smoky. Between that and the heat/humidity, I feel like Ive been beat down. Im actually wheezing some this morning...its OFFICIALLY 82 degrees @ 620am with a heat index of 87 and the sun isnt even up yet. Some areas of Georgia actually have a heat WARNING...but most of the state is under a heat advisory.

Madeline I hope you are doing ok with all this heat/humidity. Its no picnic for me, and makes me worry bout you...

Today it is much cooler. The trade off is storms. LOL. There is no winning. I am just not going outside during the daytime. It takes my breath. The good news is I get to escape for a few days. I am so ready. Madeline http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Lungs_on_Vacation/

It wasnt any cooler, but we did get storms. Its still 85 but the temp has dropped 20 degrees. I think the humidity cant go any higher than it is...all the windows on my house are fogged up. I had to go let the neighbors critters out and when I came in my skin was wet, but it wasnt from sweat. YUCK...its just nasty. This morning it took 2 Extra thick Reese PB Cups AND a 20oz coffee on top of my meds to calm my coughing down. Im suspecting tomorrow is going to be more of the same...

It has been up to 117 heat index here. I stay in when it is like that. It rained early one day and looked like more but I took advantage of the cool and went to the store that day. I don't think there has been a day in at least 2 weeks without a heat warning. Today's is 114. I went out as far as the mailbox and that was that.
