Guest guest
FYI ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Thu, 3 May 2012 14:12:55 -0500 Subject: Job Training Skills for young people with Aspergers Syndrome My name is M. , Ph.D. and I am the co-owner and manager of Professional Psychological Solutions, PLLC, a Plano based entity that specializes in assessments, advocacy, and ARD attendance for parents and students with special needs. I have a partner (Dr. Sylvia G. Garza) who is a LSSP, NCSP, and a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Texas. I am a retired USAF officer, a retired businessman, and a retired Special Education teacher and Department Chair from the Irving Independent School District. We have just finished creating a Job Training Skills program for HS grads (18-25), with Aspergers, who have had trouble with getting a job or holding onto a job. Our program is a compendium of research done by several different teams across the United States. It incorporates programs that help identify career inclinations through self-advocacy and self-reported interests. The program is designed to last 12 weeks with group meetings held once a week for 2 hours. There is also community based homework assigned. We are looking at beginning our first class in mid-June. We are looking to identify no more than 6 students for this initial effort. The cost for the 12 week program will be $1000.00 per student. This will include all class materials plus life-long enrollment in Career Cruising. Career Cruising is a program developed in Canada that now has over a million subscribers. We would like your help in spreading the word about our effort. We are highly trained professionals who adhere to the highest ethical standards.
