M-CHAT early screening tool for autism__ Early delay signs of autism

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The M-CHAT (modified checklist for autism in toddlers) is an early screening tool that pediatricians are asked to  perform with children as early as 16-18 mo. old. and at 24mo.  It is not completely accurate but does give some good characteristics to monitor.  There are 2 parts to the M-CHAT.

ECI programs will screen using this tool as well.There is an app. you can download to your iphone/ipad or computer to conduct and score the M-CHAT.  Anyone can look up this screening tool.

The M-CHAT is intended to be administered by a trained health care professional, so if you answer the M-CHAT questions at home, please discuss your M-CHAT results with your doctor regardless of the results.
