This is a very special group of our peers that understand quite well what pain and depression are, and everyone is right there to lend an ear or shoulder for you to lean on. I also needed a power wheelchair for those times I needed to walk but knew I couldn't walk over about 20 feet or so with out the pain in my back and in my left leg starting to get way out of control. I was blessed with a Mother In Law that is so awesome, that she found a used power chair in the newspaper and she bought it for me!! I don't have insurance and I am on that long wait for SSDI, so I was so very thankful! I would ride around the block and to the video store and the gas station, it really opened up a lot of variety for me to be outside!!
