I have brittle teeth too, they can't even clean them or they will break. I have fillings that are mercury too. I have heard that they are bad for you and now I'm getting my teeth out. I also have problems with cold or hot and use a special toothpaste which is helping as I suffer from dry mouth which is bad for you too.

I've heard of some folksthat are hypo due to underactive thyroids that are doing well usingherbals to increase thyroid production by stimulating the gland.. but noteveryone fits into that category. Some suffer from diseases that requirehormone replacement.. Others, like myself, lack the thyroid gland andalso require hormone replacement.You're comment about mercury fillings.. interesting thought.... I alsohave mercury fillings.. I got them in my junior year of high school.. Ihave bad teeth - easily broken.. I'm gonna guess most of my fillings aregone.. I know two of them have fallen out already.. the teeth continued,over the last 25 years, to break away until the fillings just fell out...I've had temperature sensitive teeth all of my life.. I've never beenable to bite ice cream or ice cubes.. and until I went to a sensitivetooth toothpaste couldn't even switch back and forth during a mealbetween hot and cold foods.. I had to eat all the cold foods first andthen move to the hot...Anybody else falling into that type of a category? Good Morning Everyone

First- I would like to welcome all the new people to the group.

Second- I noticed that we are already at the 94 mark for messages this month, so I expect that we will pass last months mark.

Third- I haven't been posting much lately, but have been reading all emails. I have been suffering from headaches for sometime and yesterday I finally went to the hospital for something to help. Let me say that morphine is a blessing until you wake up in the morning, boy do I have a hangover. My daughter is expecting my first grandchild which will be born any day now. She has been having a hard time for at least 3 weeks now and her due date has passed. So between both I have had my hands full.

I noticed that some of us have gone into the database and entered information, so come on everyone please enter your information also.

It's cold here today, -12C with a wind chill of -20C, I live in Alberta, Canada for those who are new and I'm looking forward to spring. I did ask Fiesty to share her warm weather but she said that she couldn't blow it this far as she doesn't have that much hot air...LOL

Good to know you became aware of possibly having AS through your 10-year old. I
