Guest guest
Hi All, My doctors are on me the day the shot comes avaliable to get it. I have lung problems and with all else they want me to be first in line. So have had every year with no repercussions! Love & God Bless! Guest guest
Unfortunately, I'm allergic to feathers, and I can't have flu shots because of it. The one time I got a flu shot I got very sick, sigh, so I just have to take my chances. I find my immune system is pretty good, though, and I rarely catch things that are going around, unless they're intestinal viruses. They hit me with vengeance. I never got the childhood illnesses like measles, mumps, or chicken pox. I didn't know about the measles until I had a blood test (after having my 3 children) and they told me I'd taken a terrible chance getting pregnant without having gotten an inoculation against German Measles. I told them I didn't know, my mother told me I'd had them, though I never got spots or sick like my brothers did. She just figured if both my brothers were sick with something that I'd have it too. cyn At 11:54 AM 8/5/2004 -0500, Piercey wrote: >Hi All, > > My doctors are on me the day the shot comes avaliable to get it. Guest guest
Personally, I remember having a severe reaction to MMR booster shot as a teen that I am afraid to get a flu shot! I also had a reaction to Tetunus shot...that one was something...doc said I was one out of millions for the reaction I had... Since I started homeschooling my son, our getting sick here has gone WAY down...thank goodness! Jessi
Guest guest
I actually have a slight reaction to eggs, and chicken, when I eat them. I'll feel nauseated for an hour or so after eating them. When they were giving flu shots at work the nurse told me that usually someone with an allergy to feathers will have an allergy to eggs. I really don't eat them all that often, just because I don't like feeling sick afterwards. But they're so yummy, especially when cooked with cheese and grits...yum. cyn At 06:52 AM 8/6/2004 -0400, Norah Bleazard wrote: >I wonder if our flu shots in Canada are different.
