There's no doubt in my mind at all about this. At the risk of sounding

ridiculous, I also don't think this was an accident.

Nor do I, and it's what I talk about extensively in my book although I hadn't pinpointed the exact reason why. No, this is not an accident. Nobody could've made this mistake by accident. It had to be the desired result, creating a society of disconnected people who have no bond to another person. Poor Aldous Huxley must be rolling over in his grave.

** Interesting idea. What would be the purpose?

I'm thinking more along the lines of a dual purpose - a generic

experiment, and the goal of altering a people's brains so drastically they

will " require " the drug the rest of their lives. They didn't count on

people like those here whose spirits are stronger than any brain-altering

drug can be -- strong, independent people who are willing to live with the

aftermath of these drugs in order to be free of them.
