Guest guest
I don't know about anyone else, but I sure do feel the heat and more so... the humidity. And when they work together... Oh Boy!!!... I'm ready for a shower and an ice bath. I have never dealt well with heat, but especially now that I'm a lot heavier. I've also noticed that since Fibro has joined my life without an invitation to join the party, I have an even more difficult time of dealing with heat. But I do find, that if I keep myself hydrated (drink at least 8 glasses of water per day),. I don't feel as bad with the heat. For me... more water... means I can cope better. I don't know if it's medically correct or not, I just know that it helps me. Hope you feel better and it cools down for you. cooling hugs, Norah The Heat. Hi everyone! Well it's been realy hot here. And I can tell it without a thermometer. Unfortunately our A/C is not working . For the past few nights it's been 96 degrees at 10:00 pm everynight for a week. It's cooler outside! This house gets hot and just holds it. Anyway, I know all of us can tell if it's going to rain or a air pressure change, but now that you have Fibro, can you notice a change in how your system is affected by heat? Personally I can, but I'm just curious if it's the fibro or something to do with my histoectomy. thanks Paige in East Tennessee
Guest guest
Thanks for the reply Norah. I'm dealing with a lot of extra weight myself. I guess theres factors that affect everything, Here in Tennessee the humidity is terrible. It gets so bad you cant breathe! The air just gets so thick. I guess i'm just so hot and miserable My fibro fog has turned into fibro humidity! I've been sweating in places not before seen by man! I can't wait to get moved into our new home this month. It has A/C. Paige

Guest guest
Cyn, the crappy humidity is caused by the mountain ranges and location of our state. The mountain ranges in this part of the USA, trap heat and trap weather fronts sometimes causing them to stick around longer than others. This causes The heat in the air to spread the water out in to a fine mist before the sun has a chand to dry it up quickly. Thats the thing about Tennessee, We're surrounded by Mountains on every side. I think you said that You live in Nashville. I know that area is more flat than East Tennessee I live in Greene County, and I cant look out my door with out seeing a mountain top. But it's like a cause and effect type thang. I hope this made some since. Some times it's hard for me to explain things with out using me hands.
