Guest guest
Oh boy... I'll like a walking drunk when I'm in a flare. I bounce off of walls, furniture, and people. I wake up with bruises all over from all the banging against things. I can sure relate to what you're feeling. And let's not even talk about all the dropping of things. I have spent more time bending over picking up things that I've dropped than I can possibly count. Makes twice the workload when you keep dropping everything :-( As for IBS... I think I've had that all my life. In high school I'd get a bad case of the runs if I had to stand up in front of class and do a speech or presentation. Then as an adult... I'd get a bad case just before a job interview. Anytime I was stressed... bang... along came the Diarrhea demon. You're definitely right about the pain meds helping. Tylenol #3 does constipate too. Codeine does a pretty darn good job of keeping the DD (Diarrhea Demon) at bay. understanding hugs, Norah (the klutz) Re: Mother Camilla I've been pretty okay with mine lately. I think the Darvocet keeps me from getting into a IBS flare since it tends to constipate. I have the diahrrea (sp?) kind of IBS. I went to the grocery store tonight and managed to almost fall down twice and when I got to the checkout banged my arm on the gum rack. Sheesh, you'd think I was drunk or trying to do myself in. Anybody else have problems with your motor skills just going wacko when you are in flare?
Guest guest
I always thought I was just clumsy. I have found that if I hold onto something too tight, I can easily cut myself with my fingernails. So I hold onto things lightly ... then sometimes they fall out of my hands. I do lose my balance from time to time. When we are shopping I'll have to grab my hubby or the cart when we go around the corner. Who knew? ) ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Earth is my home and animals are my family. Life is my religion and love is my example. My 16 year old son was with me and just kept rolling his eyes. I think that is one trip that I definitely should have used to scooter the store provides. Although, my husband says I probably would have run over my son with it, lol gentle hugs, Sundra
