Hello Nathalie,

Are you able to get second opinions in Malta or is there just one group of

neurosurgeons? Did they explain why they are reluctant? Fill us in and

welcome. Randee

Hi everyone,

I have a 14 month girl with CRS/SA and a tethered cord. Doctors seem

reluctant to untether the cord but from what I am reading this should be

untethered

asap.

Do you have any suggestions pls?

Thanks and a good day to everyone,

We have to be to Germany and she has been seen by a visiting consultant from the

UK. They are all saying that since she already has the problems associated with

tethered cord since she has CRS they see no benefit of untethering. Only if she

experiences any pain or her feet are spastic should we untether.
