bath and body works has a great shaving cream that comes in

different smells and stuff so you can find one that you like and it

has worked womders for me. its the only thing i can shave with.

i hardly ever get a nick now and i never have razor burn anymore.

You sound like a great gal! I've often wished that there could be more Moms and

wives like you. I try to be, even though I can't do some of the same things I

used to, but I feel like the effort makes me a perty darn good candidate for

kick -butt mom of the year. And wife of the year!

the shaving issue and more

hi everyone!

i am sorry i do not get to post more....

i am still in school, have my kids in the evening till my hubby gets

home.....

and like the rest of you

i am much to young to be feeling this damn old!!!!

anyway, as far as the shaving thing,

bath and body works has a great shaving cream that comes in

different smells and stuff so you can find one that you like and it

has worked womders for me. its the only thing i can shave with.

i hardly ever get a nick now and i never have razor burn anymore.

also, i was reading apost about the the doctors appointments and

having to go all the time....

isn't in strange that we who really need our doctors and need to be

going feel so bad about it? why is it that we are made to feel so

guilty about our pain? which is so real......

i was in school today and had a student get upset becouse i was in

the handicap stall and she was on crutches and made a HUGE point

that i was not handicap and should not be in there....

and all i could do was laugh.....she looked so confused when i told

her she had made my day becouse i " didn't look handicap " ...lol

she didn't have a clue why i was laughing.....

but my friend and i just got into my car and she comes walking out

the door and sees us in my car with the handicap tags....lol

it just made my day.

but, seriously, why should we feel bad for being in pain?

i am doing special trauma training and we are doing

some " situations " and the professor wants us to do it " for real "

and i had to get a note from my doctor saying that i was not to be

used as a " guenie pig " . i have 2 people in my class having a cow

over this. how " unfair " it is....that i get to be " special " and i

pointed out to them, that they wouldn't last 1 day with my

condition....and i am in pain every day and hurt so much but keep

going becouse of my kids and my husband and my dream to do my

job....and i am " special " ???????

the only thing special about me is that i am a mom, a wife and a

damn good one at that.

thanx for listening to my ranting and i hope my suggestions can help

1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as

to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr.

Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to

certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.

2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't

be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that

situation better.
