Kit,

A good friend of mine who has fibro takes Effexor XR and it works

GREAT for her. Another friend tried it for her fibro and had very

little help from it. I tried it for my fibro and it was awful for

me. Everyone is different, and as you can see....we're keeping with

the " rule of thirds " wherein (generally speaking) 1/3 are helped,

1/3 stay the same and 1/3 have problems. It is certainly worth a try

to see if it will work for you! Meds do different things for

everyone based on each person's individual chemistry.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Blessings,

Pixi

It is an antihistamine - the doc on the psych ward gave it to me to help

stop the nightmares. For the most part it works really good. For the worst

part, mixed with amitripliline it makes my mouth as dry as the Sahara

desert. Oh, well. Don't wake my husband up with my screams most nights

now.
