Guest guest Posted April 15, 2008 Report Share Posted April 15, 2008 Hello everyone. First of all I wanted to thanks everyone for the thoughts and opinions on Gabe's tethered cord/fatty filum. We had surgery on Friday. Everything went well, the doc did say that it was rather tight so I am happy that we decided to do the release. The filum was completely cut and should not retether, but I understand that it can. The cord release upward away from any scare tissue that might form. We are home now, monday. He spent three days on his back and had nothing but tylenol, what a trooper. No swelling, no brusing, nothing. He should be back to normal soon.
