Guest guest
In my experience, following are the things that create human actions: #1. SENSES: Moving away from immediate danger/fear/pain #2. SENSES: Moving towards immediate pleasure #3. SENSES: Curiosity - Understanding things around you. #4. KARMA: Immediate Reactivity. Doing what 'you think' other has just done to you. Repeating what you have heard. # 5. Unconscious Love: Relating - Socializing, connecting with other humans/animals/nature. #6. Unconscious Love: Creation, Self expression #7. Karma: Habit/conditioning - doing the same thing that one has done before in the same scenario. Also known as character, personality #8. Ego gratification #9. Fear of future pain #10. Hope of future pleasure #11. Personal Love - for example love for kids, spouse, parents, social group or country. #12. Religion and belief - For example, belief in Koran, Bible. #13. Ideals - for examples, one's stand for peace, love, freedom, justice, equality, creativity. 14. Freedom: Desire to get out of the 'cycle'. Desire to know Self #15. Ideals: Serving Realization, liberation, enlightenment. #16. Universal Love - Love of 'God', Love of creation', love of ALL, Love of the Process In my experience, factors on top of this list act far more easily than the ones at the bottom and it takes some sort of personal 'evolution' and often sustained 'conscious effort' [until they become 'natural' i.e. until the mind gets 'conditioned' to act that way to move beyond them. What is your experience? Regards, ac

You know, scientists have even proved that time doesn't exist! And I hear they don't all agree, sometimes. And yet, it has never found motivations, rather explanations. Anyway, someone tells you what motivates a flower to bloom (who cares? It *does*!). Do you really believe everything you hear? I don't think so. Why *do* you believe what you believe? And who do you believe? And I don't expect an answer! Not from you, that is. :-) > And there is no " magic " in how we humans work, either. For every > cause, there is an effect. Oh, really? Look at your definition of magic, e.g. what do you consider as " magic " when you see it? > I've heard it said that you can know exactly what you wanted (in the > past) by what you got (in the present), and so it is you'll know > exactly > what you want in the present when you see what you get in the future. > If that doesn't give you a clue as to what motivates humans, I don't > know what will. Sure: motivation doesn't exist. But don't we like our story of that?
