office ally's emr/Transitioning between EMR's

Hello all,

Is anyone using Office Ally's new EMR for 29.99/month? If so, what do you think?

Did anyone transition from one EMR to another and if so, how did it go? I

currently have Medinotes which was bought by Eclipsys a year ago which was

subsequently bought by Allscripts a few months ago. Of course my Medinotes will

no longer be supported after certain amount of time and is not certified for

stimulus money.

This all brings up annoyances with this whole EMR thing. We spend a lot of money

to get a program which can then close up shop, raise prices, etc and we are

really screwed! I guess this new certified program are supposed to make the

transition between programs more seamless- not too confident that will be the

case.

Of course there is the question of the web based versus server based as well. I

am currently server based.
