Guest guest
Jim’s overview of coil machines is one of the most cogent summaries I have ever seen. Thank you for taking considerable time to put together all of the information along with the links. This information is a “must have” for anyone researching buying a coil machine. Kudos to you, Jim. (I also agree with his recommendation to get ’s book. It is an excellent primer and expands on the information with respect to the various type of “coil” machines.) Interestingly, I have seen no mention (that I recall) of Lynn Kenny’s BeamRay machine. Lynn is working hard to get the BeamRay FDA approved for pain management, which would open the door for this as a “conventional” medical treatment. Does anyone have, or has anyone used a BeamRay? I had already bought a machine from prior to learning about Lynn’s machine. (Which is not to suggest that I would have made a different choice. We are very pleased with our machine.) I believe the BeamRay is in the $6000 range and is a clone of the original Rife technology. I have talked to Lynn twice and he is incredibly nice and dedicated. He is not trying to “sell” you anything. Kindest, Carolyn
Guest guest
Hello Jim, Recently some members of the group were discussing possible errors in the Switch Selection Tables of two manufacturers of Coil Machines. The Switch Selection Tables available on www.coilmachines .com are based an label "A" being assigned to the highest valued capacitor of 30 uF, down to label "O" for the smallest valued capacitor. The "Bypass Switch" is labeled just like that and placed next to the switch labeled "O". There is no switch labeled "P".The PowerPoint presentation of the second manufacturer, assigns the label "A" to the Bypass Switch, and label "B" to the 30 uF capacitor and therefore the smallest value capacitor gets the label "P".The confusion they mentioned is caused by this difference in the labeling of the switches adapted by the two manufacturers. There is no mistake in the Switch selection table of coilmachines.com nor a mistake in the Powerpoint file. I hope this information clears the confusion.Dr. Levy Engineering PhDwww.coilmachines.com

Guest guest
Dr Levy, That member would be me, and it was indeed my mistake for accidentally mixing the two designs. In my research haste, I failed to make note that the two were from different web-sites. By the way, thank you for having that calculator on the web, it's a huge help. One benefit of it all, I certainly know that my spreadsheet is now correct for both designs, and I have a really great understanding of it all. That, and the fact that I spent all day yesterday wiring my switches, caps and resistors /;^> -brian > > Hello Jim, > > > Recently some members of the group were discussing possible errors in the Switch Selection Tables of two manufacturers of Coil Machines. > > > The Switch Selection Tables available on www.coilmachines .com are based an label " A " being assigned to the highest valued capacitor of 30 uF, down to label " O " for the smallest valued capacitor. Guest guest
Dear How many hours does it take for you to build a Doug coil? (w/o making a cabinet). How much are you charging? I just posted about all the maker's needing to get apprentices so maybe that is something to consider if your volume of orders continues to grow. Your wife is lucky that you were able to build a unit for her. Kendra Hi Jim, I have just started building these machines. Being down here in Oklahoma, the doctors are pretty ignorant about even the existence of Lyme disease, so by the time we figured out what was wrong with my wife, , she was nearly dead, in 2002. She had been bitten and infected in 1994. IV antibiotics saved her life, but she did not regain her health, so we looked into other options. She used a Beam Ray machine in a neighboring town, and saw some improvement, but it was hard to get there, we couldn't set our own schedule and couldn't get there as regularly as required, so I looked again into other options. At that point, I discovered the power of the coil machine and how well it has worked for so many people. I contacted Stolar this summer to purchase a coil machine, but he had a big backlog, so I built one with 's guidance and began treating with it. She has not made improvement like this previously, so naturally, I am pretty excited about the potential for the machine to help others. So far, I have only built 3 coils, so I understand if people want to wait til I have more experience. I will offer a 6 month return policy, where someone can return the machine for any reason, 100% money back guarantee. Feel free to ask any other questions you might have. Guest guest
Hi Kendra, Right now I am just fitting the coil building around my work at an aerospace company (NORDAM), so it's hard to say, but I think the "hands on" time is around 30 hours. I expect to get more efficient as I learn what things to buy in bulk to eliminate stopages, etc. I am just charging $920 for a coil and cabinet plus shipping and packaging, for a total of around $980. But I've noticed quite a few changes in price for components in a short time. I bought my amplifier for $529, and now the best price I can find is $598. To: Lyme_and_Rife ; rogersirmon@... Guest guest
I'm also thinking you might be able to find some techie types (geeks) in a computer shop or computer class at a school or college that would see it as a challenge and a fun one too. It wouldn't hurt to ask. " The weather is here, wish you were lovely. Love, Sandy " from the short " Going Postal " Robin Littlethere is another option. One could use the downloaded powerpoint presentation from 's old website (burn it to disc, and/or, print it out), and get help building a coil machine from a local source: a technical college course, technical college students (or instructiors), a local electrician or handyman, etc. One can get help, even from a music repair shop person, who might have a backlog of experience repairing amplifiers, such as the QSC 1850HD. Guest guest
I'm in agreement with . I just finished my first coil machine (for my 14 year old Lyme warrior son) this past Saturday and it took three full 10-12 hour days to go from raw parts to working unit. A cabinet of some kind is a requirement to be able to mount the switches, caps, resistors and the wiring. Lots of time goes into design for that first unit eh ? A complete unit of parts for me ran about $2K, that was for everything(except my time), including a $280 dollar 10RU rolling road case to keep it all contained and somewhat portable within the home. (I'll try to post some pics) I also have a very demanding full-time job that limits my building time to weekends. I am not yet in the mode of being able to build for others yet. But maybe sometime in the future if I can get the build time and costs down. Right now my number one priority(other than keeping my job and family intact) is Lyme research as it applies to restoring my son to health. Sharing the fight with all of my Lyme brethren. -brian -b, !Bb > >> > >> Hi , > >> I am also building machines on a small scale. > >>  > >> After I built one for my wife, and saw her improvement, I was motivated to build some more. Guest guest
Good job, ! Your son may not fully appreciate it, now, but you're doing the modern equivalent of keeping the wild animals away from and providing for your family. Guest guest
Thanks , Not to brag, but my son is a wonderful young man. (Will post a pic of him as he was milling grooves for our coil winder) Last Saturday as we were finishing up on the machine, he sincerely thanked me for " doing all of this " for him. The machine, the research and everything else that goes along with this. I told him that I will do whatever God gives me the talent and abilities to do to get his life back for him. He's my clone child, my young twin/padawan-learner. He and I are so much alike it is scary. Poor kid to be so much like me /;^> I love that kid so much... We've tried two very brief experiments, three days apart, 2 minutes at 432Hz on Saturday, and 2.5 minutes each at 432 and 625 on Tues, but he's been on CS and T.O.A. Cat's Claw for a couple of weeks, so I'm thinking that we should pull both of those natural ABX's and let the little evil 'chetes come out to play, then zap them from on high! /;^> Same low doses to start so that he doesn't over-herx. We have an Omron BP meter to check his vitals during herx time. We've got an Steam/Ozone sauna shipping this way for detox, in the meantime, Epsom Salt baths and other solutions for neurotoxin detox. Fighting on and with you all in spirit, -b, !Bb > > >> > > >> Hi , > > >> I am also building machines on a small scale. > > >>  > > >> After I built one for my wife, and saw her improvement, I was motivated to build some more.
