There is a big difference. You remind me of the song " That's My Story " . Wife asks husband where he has been. He says he fell asleep in the hammock in the yard. She tells him she put the hammock in the attic some time ago. He says that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Red

Yeah-- murders is what we were talking about. " Total people killed with guns " is a useless statistic. Most of those are suicides, and you would have to be _very_ delusional to think that the people that used guns to kill themselves would not have killed themselves if a gun were not handy. As Parrish pointed out, Japan has a higher rate of suicide than the US, and virtually none of those are done with guns. This just goes to show how far the anti-gun people like you have to stretch to make statistics that make it seem like guns are the cause. Guns are the reason that hateful people kill each other; guns are the reason that depressed people kill themselves. It's very irrational to blame the tool for what people do. > You remind me of the song " That's My Story " . Wife asks husband where > he has been. He says he fell asleep in the hammock in the yard. I'm not surprised that debating someone that sticks to the facts has this effect upon you.
Guest guest
Hi I'm new here and was just reading the thread on gun control. I really don't have an opinion but knowledge of guns seems to be one of my AS obsessions. I seem to know an awful lot about them, especially the weapons of WWII. I always wanted a 1903 Springfield firing the .30-06. Whenever I watch a movie about WWII, I always pay close attention to the guns. I say to myself " that's a British SMLE, or a German Strumgewehr " . I even know about the more obscure guns made by and Reising.
