Guest guest
Hi Donna, Congrats on your TR. If you are not charting, you could check your temp and when it goes up--that means you are ovulating. I don't want to have to purchase the software to chart, so that is what I am doing. To see how my body is before I have the TR in October, I am checking my temp right now. I use a digital basal thermometer that I bought at Eckerd. They have them at Walmart and probably alot of other places too. Your temp is low during your cycle and then ovulation is supposed to be 14 days after and your temp will rise at that time. Okay ladies, if I have any of that wrong, please correct me. I am new at this too. Hope this helps. Blessings to you and your family, Kathy Is my DH crazy???? > Hi ladies! I just had my TR on Monday. Guest guest
The only thing is that by the time the temp rises, ovulation has already occurred and it's generally too late. Checking cervical fluid works well even if you don't chart temps at the same time. The eggwhite kind is the most fertile. OPK's are also helpful. They predict O 12-36 hours in advance. Happy Baby Making! Have a good night. > Hi Donna, > Congrats on your TR. If you are not charting, you could check your temp and > when it goes up--that means you are ovulating. Guest guest
You could also rough estimate your ovulation time. not as effective as the other methods, but most ovulate within 12-14 days of their cycle. So on cycle days lets say 10-14 you could ovulate. I know it isn't as effective but you could try it. Just plan on the 12-14 mainly. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Guest guest
Donna: My dh started out talking sort of the same way but after a few months of it not happening he hasn't said anything about me charting. I have really enjoyed charting because it has told me so much about my cycles. You can always check cm and it would help you know when you are at your most fertile time. If you need help with it just you can email me at Zelphia3@... Good Luck > Hi ladies! I just had my TR on Monday. I don't know much about > charting, ovulating, ect. Guest guest
Oh Donna - my husband is exactly what you're describing! In fact, I have to get on this yahoo group when he's not around, because he doesn't underdstand my need for it! So, I chart privately and read this support group privately. I hate to be sneaky - but I can't make him understand, so... We just pray we get pregnant easily, so we don't have to worry about all the other stuff, huh? God bless you and give you the grace to do what you need to do with your spouse. Jackie > Hi ladies! I just had my TR on Monday. I don't know much about > charting, ovulating, ect. Guest guest
Kathy, actually your temp. will rise AFTER you ovulate. You can know you're ovulating if you have the cervical fluid - also known as discharge - the more it looks like egg whites, very elastic, that's your PRIME fertility time, along with the position of your cervix if you want to be checking that - sounds gross, but, if you want to know your most fertile time, it should be high and soft (like your lips on your face)when you're fertile, and low and hard (like a pencil eraser) when you're not. Hope this helps - learned from my book " Taking Charge of Your Fertility " Jackie > Hi Donna, > Congrats on your TR. Guest guest
Hi Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure about that. I am just checking my temp every morning to see if it rises. Never had to do these things before. I don't know if I will have to after the TR either. Actually my first two pregnancy's were quite simple. I never had to think about anything. :-) They just happened naturally---literally ! Maybe after my TR, it won't be too difficult. Thanks again, Kathy Is my DH crazy???? > > > > > > > Hi ladies!
