He will be trying very hard not to use it. I've told him a rule. Rules are

sacred, you must follow them. :-)

An afterthought to this -- an example --

The guy I talked about in my previous post, Nesbitt, and I were trying to get

together for lunch, and we couldn't fix a time that I could meet him. Someone

suggested that he just come over here to my house for lunch. NOOOOOO! I don't

think that is right at all. I think it is entirely improper for a married woman

to have a man in her home while her husband is away at work. I won't do it. In

fact, I ended up getting Marc to choose the restaurant where I'd have lunch with

Nesbitt. Just the idea of having a man in our home while my husband is not

here just strikes me as flat wrong.

Everyone I know thinks I'm crazy and stuck in the 50s. But I don't care.

That's what I feel is only proper and the correct treatment to my husband.

Jacquie, I agree. I feel much the same. The only guy that has ever

been here without here, is a friend that stays with us when he

travels here to teach classes for 's program. He is 's

friend and he works with him. He is the epitome of decorum, and I'm

glad that has Kim as a friend.

Jacquie I don't think you're crazy. I think that is a great perspective. I'd

feel funny too. In fact I wouldn't do it either. I sometimes will have lunch

with co-workers, and if it's a man, I just feel more comfortable if there's

three of us. Even in public. Especially in public (small town ya know)

I think if Marc has trouble with terminology and must use and

adjective to describe , I think he should just say " is,

well, " . Period

Freak doesn't work for me either.

Jacquie -

I am going to stick my head in where it probably doesnt' belong....

I think it was Barb (?) that responded to your e-mail? My belief is

that she didn't realize it was Marc who said that. I think she may

have thought it was a friend of yours, not your husband.

I find it hard to believe she would have referred to your husband

as " that person " . No one on this list would do that.

> Ummm, ok. Are you looking for some reassurance from us?

Nope, not really! Just sometimes I need to think out loud (figuratively

speaking) -- and share my quirks -- and this place is certainly the most

accepting of my quirks that I have found! :-)
