You need to have your eyes checked every year(maybe even twice a year) for cataracts and glaucoma. I am sure there are other drugs that have side effects like this too, but definitely if you take prednisone that is a big issue. Prednisone is known as the wonder drug because it treats so many diseases but remember there are always side effects that we must be aware of! I was just recently taking an antibiotic(Levaquin) for this sinus infection and after 12 days I still was not feeling any better. Well I found out from the Ear,Nose and Throat Doctor that it " binds " to Calcium which I take daily (1200 to 1800 mgs) and is then only 10% effective. I did not see anything in writing on the information from the drugstore nor did the Dr. who prescribed this tell me. Basically I wasted 12 days and I still have the sinus infection....
