We like Spectrum of Hope and then we needed something different. We ran our own home program using Son-Rise. Nothing is perfect for every child. In our home we needed different parts at different times.

All the best

Trina is right.   We started RPM back in August of 2010, and then we decided to home school.  We use RPM for academics and we have alwasy used ABA strategies for learning new skills like swallowing a pill or swimming under water or riding a bicycle(three-wheeled).  ABA has alwasy been our mainstay for behavior.  But were it not for RPM, my son might have missed out on academics.  He was below K level back in Sept. of 2010, and now he has made up a lot of ground.  He is between 3rd and 4th grade in reading and comprehension, as well as writing now.  He is working 4th grade word problems in math.

We have been blessed with a wonderful RPM tutor.  Hope this helps you.

Something that I love about Spectrum of Hope is that the director has a son with

autism. All of her intention goes towards making sure that our kids have what

they need. It's staffed with highly qualified/certified professionals also.

I've never found such a nice balance of staff who truly understand the unique

needs of the families they serve.

All the best on your search. I always know once I meet people and then trust my

instincts on these things. I'm sure different families are better met at

different centers. We're all different.
