Guest guest
That HEB is undergoing expansion but the store is remaining open. The expansion is scheduled to be done in November. Until then the pharmacy is located in a temporary building by Mc s. I prefer Albertsons and live close to one (the Skaggs Alpha Beta at Ohlen & US 183 is now Albertsons. The old Tom Thumb in that area is not Petsmart. The Tom Thumb on North Lamar (a little past Airport Blvd) is now Randalls. Re: Question >> >> >> >> > >> >> > >> >> >Are you a native? In fact, you describe one right in your post! You can go longer between meals. You don't need to eat every 2-1/2 hours. Low-carbing removes the " rollercoaster effect. " What many type 2's experience is a glucose spike after a high-carb meal, followed by a crash, followed by a liver-induced " recovery " that shoots us right back up again. I have to go as long as 24 hours without food in order to become hypoglycemic. (Of course, this is a very individual disease ... we all react differently.) I am a grazer ... I tend to eat just a bit now ... a bit a few hours later on. I find this works well for me and my schedule. But maybe your life demands that you eat 3 times a day rather than 5? I don't low-carb in the sense of the Atkins induction phase ... probably closer to the Zone levels (without all the fussiness over food blocks, etc.). Because I eat more carbs than an At-kid, I find that spacing them out works better ... for me. I would say eat when you feel like it .. check your readings ... If you go too high, adjust your carbohydrate intake. If you go too low, eat something. Diabetes is a self-managed disease. Ain't it great? ) Susie

Guest guest
or anyone: After surgery on Monday will he give me written prescription that have to be fill or will he give me the actual meds. I will not have an adult with me after the surgery to get the a drug store. I am having it outpatient and planning on returning home the next morning. I just live a couple of hours away. Thanks for all the help you ladies have given me. I am beginning to question myself on this decision. Three more nights and counting. Guest guest
: Let me clear that up. Mike is taking me down on Sunday night and spending the night but has to drive back to work he will be leaving me around 3:30 and my two children (13 & 15) will be with me. When he gets off in the middle of the night sometime between 2 & 4 he is driving back to the motel and he will be driving me home on Tuesday. In fact Dr. Levin told me that since I live so close I could come home on Tuesday if I wanted to. No I will not be driving for three weeks. I just wanted to make sure about the medicine. Thanks, Jane
Guest guest
Downtown Louisville...only about a block off of I-65 and Brook St. - the Inn is a couple of blocks - walking distance BEFORE the tr if you wish, but I wouldn't have walked it after - LOL!! They have a 24 hour shuttle, and each time we used it, we never had to wait, it took us immediately. Like most downtowns, lots of one-way streets, so keep a good eye when driving - my dh nearly got us sideswiped! Shh, he says it " wasn't his fault!! Guest guest
I did inpatient, and the nurse asked if my dh would go to the pharmacy, located in a different part of the hospital, and get the script filled (included in your price). I think she was just busy and that's why she asked him. I would think especially if you will be by yourself that they will get it for you. Good luck on driving home...that worries me! I wasn't up to doing much, especially driving home! Have you cleared it with Dr. Levin because he told me no driving for 3 weeks after surgery, plus you will HAVE to take the pain meds unless you have some really high tolerance to pain. Please check it out with him before you do drive, OK? Guest guest
Dear Debbie, You said: <<Okay, well against the advice I've received from several different people, I decided to go off Paxil, cold turkey. I have been warned about not doing that, but I am stubborn, what can I say. I tried doing the cold turkey before and I couldn't function well at work, so decided to go the weaning route. But, it seems it would take too long. I want to be off Paxil and recovered by the time my fiance comes home from Iraq, and by the time I get married toward the end of this year. I have only been on Paxil for maybe 2.5 months. My question is, how long would you all estimate, the withdrawals and recovery should last for someone who has only been on 25 mg per day for 2.5 months? Do you think I will have some of those symptoms that will last for over a year? I surely hope not. I am doing pretty good staying off, cold turkey this time. It's still hard to function at work, but I'm hoping it will pass soon. >> ** You may wantto take a piece of paper, title it " Stupid Things I Do Under the Guise of Being Stubborn " and add this to the list. I'm not going to spend to much time explaining this because I don't enjoy spending my time spitting in the wind. The reason it is important to decrease slowly is because drugs like Paxil cause chanmges in the structure of your brain and the function of the chemistry of your entire body. By reducing slowly you give the chemistry time to adjust. Without this time, you risk spending a lifetime with mysterious symptoms that are unpleasant and interfere daily in your life. I can confidently say that those who reduce slowly stand a better chsnce at full recoverty while those who go cold turkey wil more than likely pay a price for this he rest of their lives ( Regards, (list moderator)
