Hi All,

I've been so busy with family in town that I am now checking in for 3

days of unread digests but just wanted to let you all know I'm alive

and kicking and feeling better every day. While my sis was in town I

wanted to spend most time offline though. She doesn't get here enough

and we always have a good time while she's here. This time around, we

went through kitchen cabinets rearranging and dusting out the corners.

It's already been a week since surgery and each day has brought some

improvement and feeling better. My doc had me on liquids until

yesterday and so yesterday was the first I got to add some foods into

the eating plan. Everything stayed down and tasted wonderful. My

theory is that since it's been so long, it's all tasting just so good.

Whether it was broth or grits, it was all good. I had grits for my

first breakfast back mixed with a little beef broth for the protein.

Later I tried some tuna, oatmeal, yogurt, green beans and mashed

potatoes. Not all at once!

I also got into the YMCA and did some treadmill since the streets near

my house are still icy and slightly hazardous. My big goal is to get

in there at least 4 times a week. That is a challenge since I am very

good at finding reasons to put off going to a public place like the Y

to work out. I have to make myself get over the reserve I feel.

Now to read a couple of hundred posts! Robyn, thanks for the cards!

You are the greatest!

Gracie
